William Leon “Bill” Linscott, 72, of Wardville, died February 2, 2016 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 5 at the Kiowa Church of Christ officiated by Mr. Steve Mass. Cremation to follow the service. Service arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service. William “Bill” Leon Linscott was born to Gordie Green and Fannie Ruth (Zinn) Linscott on November 6, 1943 in Lane, Oklahoma. Bill attended Lane school and graduated from Atoka High School. He attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Bill served in the U.S. Air Force for four years, and served in the Oklahoma National Guard for eight years. He married Linda Louise Vick in 1969 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He had worked at Texas Instruments in Texas and retired after 42 years from the U.S. Army Ammunition Plant where he worked as an electronics engineer in special weapons. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents: Gordie and Fannie Linscott, brother: Gordie Gene Linscott, sister: Elaine Chappel-Fink, and a granddaughter: Jaycie Marie Linscott.
