Cassie Stargel Brown, 30, of Canton and formerly of Rocky Face passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006, while on vacation with her family in California.
Cassie’s life was marked by numerous achievements. Those of which she was most proud include: earning of an associate degree in respiratory care, as well as an associates degree in science; she was a member of the Phi Kappa Delta Honor Society and played on the First Women’s Intramural Soccer Team at North Georgia College. She volunteered at Camp Breath Easy aiding children who suffered from asthma. She was most of all proud of her position as a loving wife and daughter.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Willie John Sansing and paternal grandfather, Charles Coleman Stargel; paternal grandmother, Nettie Stargel and uncle, Jerry Sansing.
She is survived by her husband, Justin R. Brown of the residence; parents, Rex and Charlotte Stargel of Rocky Face; father-in-law, Larry R. Brown of Ringgold and mother-in-law, Revenia Kaye Brown of Ringgold; maternal grandmother, Nannie B. Younes of Rossville; grandparents James K. and Jimmie L. Rogers of Ringgold; three brothers, Jeremy and Cory Strargel, both of Burbank, Calif., and Jeffery Moskwitz of Hollywood; brother-in-law, Seth Brown of Chatsworth; aunts and uncles, Charles and Cathy Stargel, Coleman and Vivian Stargel, Ty and Nellie Mae Wooten, Kenny and Ann Wilson, James and Becky Nutt, Charlene Hope, Brenda Rohn, Robin Lanning, and Nelson Sansing, Jimmy and Autumn Sansing.
The funeral is Monday at 2 p.m. at the Westside Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
