Cheryl Webb Bennett, 68, of Dallas, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Jan. 29, 2016. Born in Levelland to parents Basil and Robbie Webb, Cheryl was a longtime resident of Lubbock who graduated from Lubbock High School and Texas Tech University. An accomplished professional, she taught elementary school in Lubbock, served with the Texas Department of Transportation in both Lubbock and Austin, and worked for Universal Field Services, directing the firm's Dallas office for many years. She is survived by her son, Todd (Kathy) Bennett and granddaughter, Zoe of Washington, DC; brother, Lee (Bethelyne) Webb of Allen, Texas; sister, Pat (Jim) Beebe of Dennis, Texas; brother, Bob (Stacey) Webb of Kansas City, Missouri; and nine nieces and nephews. A marriage to Bonner Bennett ended in divorce. Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery. Her grandnephew, Sam Souder, will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at Resthaven. Cheryl was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and her survivors will remember her free spirit, infectious laugh, and enormous sunglasses. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Lubbock Arts Alliance:
