Patty attended Cory High School, and went on to marry Richard L. Baker on Nov. 3, 1950, in the Cory Methodist Church.
She was a homemaker most of her life, she also worked as an Avon Lady, and in the offices of Chesty Foods and Motor Freight in Terre Haute. She also co-owner and secretary of Richard L. Baker Trucking and P-Burg Coal. Patty was best known for her "homemade" noodle business and enjoyed many years as a vendor at the Cory Apple Festival.
She was a member of the former Shady Grove Church, and currently attended Riley Bible Church locally and First Baptist Church in Parrish, Fla. Patty and Richard were blessed to spend many months each year at their Palmetto home.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Paula in 1973; son-in-law, Ray Rippy in 2002; and sister, Venus Stevenson in 2009.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at Mount Calvary Cemetery, in Brazil, with Pastor Ron Hodge Sr. officiating.
