Katherine Flowers Armstrong, 95, passed away on February 1, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Matilda and Albert Flowers of Faison, NC. Katherine retired from Portsmouth General Hospital where she worked for many faithful years. Katherine was predeceased by her husband, Carl Thomas Armstrong; sisters, Mildred Flowers, Gladys Brogden, and Lilly Mae Bass; brothers, Albert Flowers, Edward Flowers and Robert Flowers. She is survived by her daughter, Rachel Armstrong Capps; granddaughter, Grace Capps Cover; 2 great-grandchildren and sister, Ester Williams.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Wednesday from 6-7:30 p.m. and online condolences may be made at www.lovingfuneralhome.com.
