Mary Elizabeth (Stanford) Templeton, went peacefully to be with Our Lord, one day before her 94th birthday, Thursday morning at her home in Bryan, TX. Mary was born on the 1st of July 1922, in Robertson County, TX. to parents O.D "Dewitt" and Johnnie (Carter) Stanford. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. "Rawhide" Templeton; the above mentioned parents; three brothers and one sister. The bereaved family includes her only child, daughter, Mary Beth and son-in-law Steven Burkhalter; three granddaughters, Stephanie B. Ford and husband "Trey" L.A. Ford III, Courtney B. Freeman and husband Mike, Ashley B. Brunson and husband Matt; niece, Charlotte "Sha Sha" Dick; nephew, Donnie Stanford and wife Lanell "Sister"; along with many other family members. Mary was also blessed to be survived by seven GREAT-grandchildren, Jaci and Jaxsen Brown, Elizabeth Foster and "Burkie" Brunson, Faith and Caden Freeman, and Landri Amelia Ford. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 3 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Steep Hollow Cemetery. Come and celebrate her long and loved-filled life.
