Valerie Hubbard Taylor, 60, passed away Monday, February 1, 2016.
Valerie was born in Coleman, TX on August 1, 1955 to Dole and Ettie Hubbard. She graduated from Bronte High School in 1973 and participated in the Longhorn Band and lettered in Basketball. She studied at American Commercial College in Abilene, in the area of Secretarial Science. She worked at the Sterling County Hospital and Robert Lee Care Center. She also worked at Sun Oil/Orynx at Silver, TX as a Secretary.
She was preceded in death by her son, William Tray Taylor, who died on August 9, 2010; parents, Dole and Ettie (Windham) Hubbard; siblings, Sheila Hubbard, Tonja Hubbard and Gary Hubbard.
Valerie is survived by her nieces and nephew, Aaron and Maranda Hood (Braylee, Brewer and Brennen), Sandra Flores and her dad Jessie Flores of Robert Lee, Kassey and Dean Lay (JayCee) of Mertzon and Misty and Rob Ferguson (Chloe) of Hamilton, Ohio.
She had many friends and was always willing to lend a hand. She had a natural caring spirit to help others. Her son Tray was her whole world and she had an aching heart ever since she lost him in 2010.
