Hogan, Elder H. C. of Dickson, Tenn. He was born in Obion County, Tenn., July 1, 1864, raised by Primitive Baptist parents, his father united with the church in his fiftieth year of age. The first sermon that made any serious impression upon him was preached by T. S. Dalton, from the text "Ye must be born again." However, when about fifteen years of age he joined Cane Creek Primitive Baptist Church and was baptized by Elder N.G. Phillips. He was ordained Dec. 1887, by Elder J.K. Stephens and S.F. Cayce. Elder Hogan served churches in Middle Tennessee about seven years, but have given them all up now and devoted all my time to traveling. I have traveled twenty-three states, Indian Territory and District of Columbia. I have traveled as many as ten thousand miles in a year." I pray the Lord to guide my footsteps in such a way that I may never bring reproach on His blessings cause". Edited and condescended, by Greg Roach.
