Philip was my fourth cousin. Even tho he was several years older than me, we grew up together on Bernard Ridge in Russell Springs, KY. He was always special to me & he loved to hear me sing, at church. I remember visiting his home as a child with my aunt & uncle. My aunt was married to his uncle. His mother named her youngest daughter after me, but I didn't know this till a few years ago. When we moved to Anderson, Philip was a christian mentor. We visited with he & his wife Joyce many times. When Philip came to visit us, he would bring sheet music for a new song he wanted me to learn. In our early years in Anderson, I babysat with his children, Sherry & Gordon. Philip was the one who got me interested in geneology, by giving me a copy of our Stephens family tree & explaining how it came about.

He passed away at his home in Markleville, IN. He had been working in the yard raking leaves & burning them. His storage building caught on fire & when he opened the door to try to get items out, he was overwhelmed by the smoke & fumes.

He was a member of Abundant Life Church of God, Anderson, IN.

He is survived by:
His wife: Joyce Whetsel Aaron, Markleville, IN
A daughter: Sherry Aaron, Markleville, IN
A son: Gordon Aaron, Markleville, IN
His parents: Loren & Doris Johnson Aaron, Russell Springs, KY
Two sisters: JoAnn (Mitchel) Harris, KY
Nancy Kathryn Aaron, Russell Springs, KY
Two brothers: Jerry Aaron, Chesterfield, IN
Michael Aaron, Australia
Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins
