Family will gather on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 after 4:00 p.m. and funeral services will be held Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Whinery-Huddleston Chapel. Burial will follow at Faxon Cemetery.
Marie was born in Upsher County, Texas, but moved to southwest Oklahoma at an early age. In 1945 she married Alvie H. Claborn Sr. at Pumpkin Center. After completing her GED, Marie worked at Comanche County Memorial Hospital as a ward clerk for many years. She then went to work for the familyβs dry cleaning business, One-Hour Martinizing. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, listening to country music, square dancing and two-stepping. She had a large family, loved family gatherings and spending time with everyone. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Elon; sisters, Cassey Pearl Fleet and Thelma Louise Dyer; grandson, Kennie Wayne Barnett; step-granddaughter, Dusti Glenn; son-in-law, John Gilpen; brother-in-law, Bill Dyer; and special friend, James Dale Wooten.
