Paul J. Horn, 89, of Port Clinton, died early morning Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at Riverview Healthcare Campus in Oak Harbor.

Paul was born Oct. 26, 1926, in Fremont to Seraphine and Emma (Swint) Horn. On Feb. 28, 1948, in Bryan, Ohio, he married Lois J. Moll, and she survives.

Paul was a member of the Teamsters Local 20 and a truck driver for 30 years retiring from Roger Cartage. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Port Clinton. Paul was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving in World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 113 and a life member of the V.F.W. Post 2480. He was also a life member of the Port Clinton Elks Lodge No. 1718.

Paul enjoyed boating and fishing, NASCAR racing, working in his yard and country music.

In addition to his wife, Lois, Paul is survived by his daughters, Sharon (Greg) Sanger and Susan (Carl) Sorgen III; son, Stephen (Patricia) Horn; grandchildren, Bill and Daniel Payne, Dr. Matthew (Shannon) Horn, Amanda (Kyle) Gaab, Dr. Carl (Kip) Sorgen IV and Corey (Dori) Sorgen; great-grandchildren, Brandon Payne, Allison Peterson, and Keegan and Marah Horn, Emma Gaab and Carson Sorgen; and sisters, Lois Spino and Margaret Callendar; sister-in-law, Eileen Horn; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeffery Scott Horn; brothers, Edward (Bud), George, James Horn; and sister, Betty Mead.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, until time of funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 216 Washington St., Port Clinton. Funeral services will be conducted by Father John Missler. Burial will follow at Four Mile House Cemetery, Fremont.
