Dr. John Vander Poel, 61, formerly of Albany, died Sunday in New York from heart disease. The funeral will take place tomorrow from his home in New York and the body will be takento Albany for burial in the Rural cemetery. Canon Merrick of the Cathedral of All Saints will officiate at the grave. Dr. Vander Poel was born in Albany, the son of the late Dr. Samuel Oakley and Gertrude Lansing Wendell Vander Poel. He leaves a sister, Mrs. Anson Moran of New York, and three cousins, Mrs. Marcus T. Hun, Mrs. Joseph P. Ord and James Vander Poel of Albany.
