"Rebecca E. Beach, 77, formerly of Acton, died unexpectedly Sat. Jan. 30th, 2016 at her Maynard home. Born and raised in West Acton, she was the daughter of the late John and Marion (Cook) Beach. A graduate of the Acton schools, she was employed as a clerk at the River Street laundromat in Maynard, and later was retired from the former Data Terminal Systems. A longtime Maynard resident, Ms. Beach liked to read and sew clothing, attend local events including the Maynard Community Band concerts, and is remembered as an excellent cook and baker who liked to try new recipes. She enjoyed a good time with her family and friends, and was especially close with her sisters. She is survived by a sister, Audrey Price of Maynard, and many nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her sisters, Marion Fitts, Barbara Dow and Ruth Blanchette, and a brother Charles Beach. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Central Street, West Acton."
