Ione was born in Howell, MI to William and Mary (DePew) Murphy. Ione was a true people person, loved by family and friends alike. She loved meeting people and made new friends throughout her life. She was a most generous person, giving of herself, her money and her spirit. She inspired many people with her kind notes and letters. An avid reader and writer, she liked to write short stories that always had humor as a central theme. She loved playing cards, especially bridge. Ione was a devoted follower of Christ. She believed in the love of Jesus and supported the church throughout her life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Ione was preceded in death by her husband, Robert. Surviving are: her sons, Robert (Mary), Frank (Stephany) and Patrick (Beth); grandchildren, Miranda, Matthew and Zachary; special friend Don Wordell and many nieces and nephews.
