Lewis E. Walton, age 77 of Carey, died at his residence January 30, 2016. He was born in Wyandot County December 3, 1938 to Daniel and Agnes Mae (Everhart) Walton. He married Carol J. (Heilman) Walton November 20, 1960 and she survives in Carey. Lewis is survived by a son, Jeffrey L. (Ellen) Walton, Forest, 3 daughters, Sara J. Sapp, Carey, Shelley (Fred) McKee, Forest, Stephanie (Paul) Dawson, Marion, 9 grandchildren, April Huffman, Joshua Sapp, Samantha Caldwell, Patty Thomas, Grant McKee, Hannah McQuistion, BriAnna McQuistion, Brenna Dawson, 8 great grandchildren, Wyatt, Hawk, Devin, Evelyn, Cloe, Colt, Zoey, Isaac, 2 brothers, Philip (Michele) Walton, Upper Sandusky, Delbert Walton, Wharton, 2 son in laws, Clair Huffman, Mt. Blanchard and Jim Sapp, Mt. Blanchard. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sally Huffman, grandson, Andrew Huffman, 2 sisters, Lucille Lambert, Lois McCracken and a brother, Joe Walton. Lewis graduated from Wharton High school, class of 1956 and attended Ohio State University. He was a life long farmer and retired from A.O. Smith in 1998 as the head manufacturing engineer. He was owner of Walton Enterprises being an electrician. Lewis was President of Wharton Alumni and organized the monument for the school. He was Master of ceremonies for Westinghouse A.O. Smith retirees. Lewis was on the Smithville Board of Trustees and he was an honorary member of Riverdale FFA. A funeral service will be held February 4, 2016 at 10:30am in Bringman Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Richard VanHorn officiating. Burial will follow in Smithville Cemetery, rural Upper Sandusky. Visitation will be held February 3, 2016 from 2pm-4pm, 6pm-8pm in the funeral home.
