1935 – 2016 Anna F. (McCann) Lesher Â"AnnÂ", age 80 of Essington, formerly of Earlsville, MD and Colwyn, PA passed away January 31, 2016 after a brief illness. Born in Philadelphia, Ann was a 1953 graduate of Notre Dame Girls High School. She waitressed at StoufferÂ's in Wynnwood and The Clam Tavern II in Collingdale for many years before becoming an owner with her husband and son of TerryÂ's Tavern in Southwest Philadelphia. Most recently she worked at Hacks Point General Store in Hacks Point, MD until returning to PA last May. She is daughter of the Late John F. & Anna (Dwyer) McCann; Sister of the late James F. McCann and Theresa McDevitt; And wife of the late Frederick B. Lesher, Sr. in 1996. Survivors include her sons: Bernard J. (Kelly); Frederick B., Jr. (Ramona); John F.; Daniel V. (Mary); Wayne T. (Ken) and Scott E. (Tina). Also 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many close friends in Earlsville, MD. Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood and Friday from 9:00 to 9:45 AM at BVM Catholic Church, McDade Blvd. and Main St., Darby followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow in Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crozer-Keystone Hospice, 5030 State Rd.; Ste 3001, Drexel Hill, PA 19026.
