Lakisha May (Speller) Smith, 28, Kokomo, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on April 21, 1987, in Kokomo, the daughter of Seth Sanders Jr & Patricia Speller. On April 25, 2011, she married Joshua Allen Smith and he survives.
Lakisha loved the outdoors and riding motorcycles. Her greatest joy was time spent with family and friends, especially her children.
Lakisha is survived by her husband, Joshua A. Smith, Kokomo; parents, Seth Jr. and Patricia Sanders, Kokomo; children, Brooklyn Michelle Lawson and Devon Shepard, twin children, Skylyn Jade Smith and Bryson Jonas Smith; brother, Joshua E. Sanders; paternal grandmother, Marilyn L. Sanders, Kokomo; mother-in-law, Stacey Patton, Peru; brothers-in-law, Ronnie Lee Patton and Cameron Lee Patton, grandparents, Nancy (William) Glaze and Larry (Nikki) Smith, Michael (Sherry) White, along with many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 4, 2016, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, Kokomo. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery.
