Joseph Lee "Joe" Waller, 54, of Cedar, Iowa, died at 8:45 A.M., July 22, 2015 at his home.
He was born July 15, 1961 in Ottumwa, Iowa to George and Abby (Kinkade) Waller. Joe attended Eddyville High School and he was a self employed contractor.
On November 28, 1981 Joe and Charlene Kay Riley were united in marriage at the Cedar United Methodist Church. Joe and Char were blessed with over 33 years of marriage and one son, Josh.
He loved to hunt, fish, camp, do woodworking, and most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Joe is survived by his wife, their son, Iowa; three nieces, two nephews, and four great-nephews, and two great-nieces. Joe is also survived by his two sisters, and his mother and father-in-law, Larry and Janet Riley of Cedar.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, George Waller and Abby (Waller) Simmers; his brother, Jim Shaw; and his nephew Thomas DeMoney.
Visitation for Joe will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M., on Friday, July 24, 2015 at the Eddyville Funeral Chapel. Joe's family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 P.M., Friday evening.
Funeral services for Joe will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Eddyville Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Bob Voels officiating. Burial will follow services at Highland Cemetery of Eddyville.
