Son of Daniel Rogers, Governor of Delaware, and his wife, Esther. Molton moved to PA after law school and remained the rest of his life. He was elected to the Senate in 1819, appointed Secretary of the Commonwealth in 1823, and appointed Judge of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in 1826. His will accounting settlement shows payment for lot in Laurel Hill Cemetery,for an Italian marble tomb, and for painting an iron railing at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
