Jane Hartford Crump Holmes passed away peacefully of natural causes
August 9, 2010. Jane was born to Jefferson and Anna (Jones) Hartford in Winfield, Pennsylvania on December 2, 1924.
Jane was born and raised in Pennsylvania, meeting James Crump when
he was in Army training and she was in nursing school. They married
in Bremerton where they raised their family while active in their church
and community. Jane was a wonderful homemaker and mother. After
James passing in 1971, she later met Theodore Holmes and they married in 1974. They were active members of Lincoln Avenue Bible
Church, gourmet club, and their RV group. Jane also enjoyed quilting
club, church women's group, homemakers club, 4-H, and Eastern Star.
Jane loved entertaining with family picnics and BBQs, where friends
were always welcomed.
Jane is survived by her brother Lincoln (Jan*) Hartford of Wisconsin,
her daughter Suzanne (Michael) Alpacino of Silverdale, son Robert
(Gail) Crump of Tacoma, Kenneth (Anna) Crump of Edinburgh,
Scotland, step-daughter Joette (Richard) Murphy of IN, nine grand
children, six great-grand children, and many nieces and nephews.
Jane was preceded in death by her first husband James Crump and her
second husband Theodore Holmes in 2000, her brother Dallas, her
two sisters Adelaide and Margaret and her great-grandson Cody.
