Excerpt -- Reprint from Weston World -- Thomas Funk of Preston County an inmate of ward 8 at the hospital, committed suicide in the ward last Thursday afternoon by hanging himself to the towel rack in the toilet room. When found his body was still warm but lifeless. This is the second time he was confined in the asylum, being returned here about six months ago. He had never in any way shown any suicidal tendencies. Squire Lockhart conducted an inquest and the jury found that the deceased came to is death by hanging and exonerated the officials and employees of the institution from all blame.
