Don (Donnie) Wise, age 72, of Odessa passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel in Gatesville. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery.
Donald was born on February 4, 1943 in Temple, to the late Don and Callie Logan Wise. He grew up mostly in Kermit and Odessa. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years and was honorably discharged in 1966. He married Rita Cruise on August 31, 1968. He worked as an electrician and mechanic for many years in Odessa. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and drag racing as well as operating his family’s farm and ranch in Coryell County.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, James Grady Wise.
Donald is survived by his wife, Rita Wise; two sons, James Wise and Jason Wise; and four grandchildren, Michael, Dakota, Toby and Dylan Wise.
