Bobby Combs, 73, of Elk Lick Rd., Salt Lick, KY, passed away Sunday January 31, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital – Mount Sterling.

Born April 7, 1942 at Emmalena, KY, he was the son of the late Bentley and Eva Begley Combs and was a retired equipment operator and coal miner.

Survivors include his wife Virginia Goldie, 1 son, Sydney Combs of Olympia, KY, 2 daughters, Bernice Cook of Olympia, KY and Vontella Combs of Morehead, KY, 1 brother, James Combs of Lexington, KY, 2 sisters, Ethel Smith of Michigan and Betty Gene McCleese of Lawrenceburg, KY, 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday February 3, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Anthony Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the Combs Way Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Sydney Combs, Wesley Cook, Bob Purvis, Tom Goldie, Allen Hardin and Mike Crockett.
