"Dody" as her friends knew her was a lady who had the Holy Spirit alive in her every day of her life and it showed.
The Grace of God was with her and it showed in the Love that she had for her husband, Bill, her three sons, and all her many friends, especially in Wimberley. It showed in the Joy she had in living which she shared with her friends and relatives. It showed in the inner Peace she had even during dark times. It showed in the Patience she had (and God knows she needed a LOT of that while raising three head strong sons who would insist that their way was right and who would finally realize that she was right all along).
She was Kind to all people and she had a Gentleness about her. She also had a Meekness about her while at the same time holding a quite strength.
Mom had a Faithfulness toward family and friends and to the Lord which was unshakable. She had a Faith that could move mountains and her Faith was rewarded.
She also had amazing self control and that was evident in the way she handled her Husband and her three dingbats for sons who could be impatient, unkind and harsh.
I grieve that she is no longer in the physical realm as do all who loved her and still love her, but let us give JOY and PRAISE to the Lord our God for allowing her to touch our lives so lovingly and memorably.
Below is a picture of Mom that Bryan took of her as she was walking to her bedroom about a month ago. It is so simple in its composition and yet so symbolic. She is stepping over the threshold from one room to another, a room awash with bright white Light.
May the Peace, Love and Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all,now and forever.
