Mark Anders, 53, of Biggs died Oct. 16, 2002, at Rideout Memorial Hospital. Born in Palo Alto, he was a Mid-Valley resident for 48 years. He worked for Shifflet Brothers Trucking Co. for 40 years. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the California Trucking Association and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Gridley First Ward; and a former member of the 20-80 Club.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, two sons, his parents, two sisters, and two grandchildren.

Services: Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel. A service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Gridley Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Spruce Street. Burial will be at the Gridley-Biggs District Cemetery.
