COLORADO CITY - Funeral services were held for Tommy Cooper, age 68, on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home in Snyder. Mr. David Strunk officiated the services. Burial followed at the Fluvanna Cemetery in Fluvanna.

Mr. Cooper passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Mitchell County Hospital in Colorado City
following a short battle with lung cancer.

He was born February 28, 1944 to Alfred and Rexa Dae Cooper in Brownwood. He married his soulmate, Jane Rimer on January 16, 1981. He was a longtime resident of Lake Champion at Colorado City. Tommy had also lived in Fluvanna for many years. He attended Hermleigh and Snyder schools and was a graduate of Snyder High School.

Tommy was employed by Jack's Roadboring in Snyder for 26 years. He had been in dirt construction all of his life He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. He treasured the time he spent with his family. Tommy had a heart of gold, boisterous laugh, and an infectious smile.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sandra Gorman.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Cooper of Colorado City; one brother, Jim Cooper and wife Suzanne of Santa Fe, New Mexico; one son, Keith Rimer and wife Gail of Hewitt; one daughter, Tammy Strunk of Irving; one grandson, Jarod Womack and wife Dawn of Elm Mott; one granddaughter, Chelsea Strunk of Las Vegas, Nevada, four great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Keaton, Raelin and Kaiden Womack and numerous cousins and several nieces and nephews.
