Charles L. “Bud” Richmond

Graveside services for Charles L. “Bud” Richmond, 78, of Big Sandy will be Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Chilton Cemetery in Big Sandy under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater with Pastor Sonny Parsons officiating. Charles passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016 in Longview.

Charles was born August 9, 1937 in Franklin, Ohio to Charles and Marie Richmond. Mr. Richmond worked for Brock Services as an Equipment Operator; and will be remembered as hardworking and outspoken. Charles was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather and enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren who will truly miss their PawPaw Richmond. Mr. Richmond served in the United States Marine Corp and achieved the classification of Sharp Shooter. Bud was a longtime member of the Falcon Club in Dayton, Ohio; where he was a driving force and the original secretary for the golf league at the Rollandia Golf Course. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan who lived life to the fullest. Charles leaves many loving family and friends to cherish his memory.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Sherry and Monte Allen; sister Charlene Sparks; grandson Chase Allen; three great grandchildren Cameron, Maycie and Ryleigh; numerous nieces and nephews as well as many other loving family and friends.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents and grandson Dusty Allen.

In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the Hawkins FFA Alumni, P.O. Box 233, Hawkins, Texas 75765.
