Son of Landon H. & Dorsey Johnson Edwards; husband of Joyce NettieMae Corn Edwards.

He was a veteran of the US Air Force and a member of Starnes Cove Baptist Church.

Survived by his wife; three daughters and two sons; five sisters (Flossie, Pearl, Betty Jean, Lillian and Margaret) and three brothers (Lester, Doyle, and Bill); five grandchildren.

Funeral services: Friday, May 13, 1988, chapel of Groce Funeral Home.

Burial: French Broad Baptist Church Cemetery.
