Kaye Bright Champion, 51, of 179 Oakwood Dr., Forest City, died Sunday Oct. 16, 2005, at Rutherford Hospital.

A native of Rutherford County, she was a daughter of Ruby Harris Bright of Forest City, and the late James Crawford Bright. She retired as a secretary for Adult Probation and Parole for the State of North Carolina. Kaye was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and attended Florence Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, T. Max Champion of the home; a daughter, Sherry Beaver of Shelby; five brothers, James I. Bright of Rutherfordton, Joe Bright, Wayne Bright, Doug Bright, and Mike Bright, all of Forest City; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Florence Baptist Church with Dr. Bobby Gantt officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation was held Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Padgett & King Mortuary.
