Born and raised in Hibbing, MN, Kay went on to The University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, where she met her future husband, Cal. After graduating in 1963, Kay began teaching in St. Cloud, MN. She married Cal on August 8, 1964, and moved to Fort Riley, KS.
When Cal was sent to Vietnam in 1965, Kay returned to Minnesota, teaching in Mound. Upon her husband's return they bought their first house in Wayzata, MN, where they lived for 7 years and her 3 sons where born. In 1973 the family relocated to Largo, FL, where Kay lived for the next 30 years, working and raising her family. After retirement she and Cal moved to Beverly Hills, FL, where she resided until her death.
Kay was very active in her church, enjoyed playing bridge and kept herself busy with a variety of activities.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Calmer; three sons, Steven (Tonya) Anderson of Fredericksburg VA, Scott (Kathy) Anderson of Clearwater, FL, and Robert (Shannon) Anderson of Morristown, NC; her sister, Linda (Ralph) Halvorson of Chippewa Falls, WI; as well as 4 grandchildren, 1 step-granddaughter and 2 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Kathryn Bryant, and brother, John Bryant. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 12 at 2 p.m. at Hernando United Methodist Church. - Chronicleonline.com
