"Austin Gene "Boss" Wise, age 85, of Sonora, passed away Saturday January 30, 2016 at Hospice inpatient Care Center in Louisville.
He was born November 30, 1930 in Elizabethtown to Joe and Mary Francis Wise. "Boss" was Born and Raised in Elizabethtown, Hardin Co. He was a Former Hodgenville City Foreman, Larue Co. Foreman, Owner, Operator of WandW Construction, A Ky. Colonel. And a Great neighbor and friend.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and a Son, James Austin "Jimmy" Wise, Daughter, Debra Kay, Grandson, Justin Ross Holbert, Brothers Everett, Raymond, Clifford "Lewis". Sister, Mary Ruth Kilgus, Sister, Margaret Virginia "Peggy" Hawkins.
He is survived by his loving Wife of 66 years, Opal Miller Wise 3 Daughters, Ruby Calloway, Wanda E. (Willie) Holbert, Tracy (Troy) Bush, 6 Grandchildren, Bridgette (Rocky) Ewing Holbert Blair, Doug Wise, Jaret (Jennie) Calloway, Santana Sanders, Stephen (Megan) Bush, Matt Bush, 6 Great-grandchildren, Whitley Milby, Ally (Tyler) Jones, Dennis Austin Calloway, Lillyan Faith Blair, Lily Sanders, Andy Sanders, And Missy His Beloved Dog
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday February 3, 2016 2:00 pm at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, KY With Rev. Scott Kerr officiating. Burial will be held at the Sonora Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday 10:00 am to 8:00 pm or Wednesday 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Funeral Home."
