FORT WORTH -- Brenda Kathryn Talley Beck, 61, joined her mother and sister in heaven Saturday evening, Sept. 19, 2009, surrounded by her family and friends.

Service: Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.

Memorials: At her request, please help continue her glorious legacy by sending donations in lieu of flowers to Boulevard Heights, 5100 El Campo Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76107.

Brenda was born to James Voss and Kathryn Jordan Talley on Sept. 24, 1947, in Fort Worth and was the second youngest of four children. After attending traditional Catholic school for most of her education, she transferred to Burleson High School, where she started dating a friend of her older brother. They were married soon after high school and remained that way until her passing.

Known as "Bren," "Mom," "Aunt Bren-Bren" or "Grandma," she was an angel on earth and spread joy to everyone around her. Her drive to help people in need and always do the right thing is a quality that has touched the lives of many, family and strangers alike. Although she did not achieve one of her dreams of receiving a college degree, she has an honorary doctorate in compassion and forgiveness that will guarantee her a special place in heaven. A true angel has returned home.

Brenda entered the gates of heaven to join her sister and best friend, Sharron Ann Beck, who preceded her in death.

Survivors: Her husband of 43 years, Larry Beck; sons, Daron Beck and wife, Jennifer, and Jay Beck and wife, Allison; daughters, Amber Sebastian and husband, Russell, and Lauren Beck; brother, Ron Talley and fiancee, Eunice; sister, Linda Cox and husband, Ralph; grandchildren, Zachary, Hunter, Jaron, Maddison, Chase, Jeffrey, Michael, Abigail, Aiden and Anna Kathryn; many nieces and nephews, including Sherrie and Mark Dominguez, Patti and Tony Flores, Christianna and Micah Yarbarough, Ken Allen, Michael Beck, Steven and Arika Stringer, Charley and Dinah Stringer; and many others who were fortunate enough to know and be a part of her life.
