Robert Benjamin "Bob" Anglin, 91, of Berea, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Berea Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was a Mt. Vernon native born June 27, 1924, son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Clara Frances Williams Anglin. Bob, as he was affectionately known to family and friends, was a WWII U. S. Navy veteran, farmer, land owner, member of VFW Barbourville Post, B.J's Conway Coffee Club, Hardee's Mt. Vernon Coffee Club, and Liberty Avenue Baptist Church.

Bob loved his country and proudly served in several major conflicts which he considered an honor. He loved farming, working in the dirt and was proud of his animals and pets. He took great pride in teaching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren about farming and how to operate his tractor.

Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Wanda King Anglin, whom he married December 7, 1945; 1 daughter, Bertha Stamper and son-in-law, Michael; 1 son, Gary Anglin and daughter-in-law, Candy; 2 siblings, Grace Chapman, Virgil Anglin; grandchildren, Devin Michelle Weekley and husband Shaun; great grandchildren, Anastasia Weekley, Alexandria Weekley, Ayden Weekley, Abigail Weekley; and his best friend, Charles Gary Sparks; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in his extended family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 7 siblings, Bill Anglin, Juanita Anglin, Barbara Murtha and 4 infant siblings.

Funeral Service 10:00 am, Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Reppert Funeral Home with Pastor Kenny Davis officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 12:30 pm at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lewis Sparks, Jr., Frank Grover Sparks, Ray Powell, Ron Devere, Neil Sparks, Hobert Halcomb. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Gary Sparks, Roger Rucker, Ronnie Reppert, Cletus Peters, Kenton Davis, Fred Davis. Visitation 5:00 - 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
