Ruby Veck O'Leary was born on February 9, 1934 in El Paso, Texas and passed away on January 23, 2016. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, James and Stella Veck and brothers, Richard and James Veck. Ruby is survived by her sister, Rachel Veck Gabriel and Billy Veck, along with five children, Lanette O'Leary-Eveler, Tom O'Leary, Karen O'Leary, DeeAnn O'Leary-Hertzog and Stacey O'Leary-Boswell. Ruby has nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Ruby attended El Paso High School and Western New Mexico College where she earned her degree in English. Ruby worked for Kress, El Paso Times. Ruby was an antique dealer for over 50 Years. Ruby loved to mentor others in their start in the antique business. Ruby had a wealth of knowledge in retablos. Ruby enjoyed doing antique shows where she met many of her dear and closest friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler Dr El Paso, TX. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery, 4900 McNutt Rd., Santa Teresa, NM.
