Steven F. Morrison, 51, died unexpectedly at his residence in Springfield, MO, on January 23, 2016. Steve was born March 25, 1964, and grew up in Lawton, Kansas, graduating from Columbus High School in 1982. For the past 15 years, Steve lived in Springfield, MO. He attended many churches and organized several bible study, men’s and prayer groups over the years. Steve completed his Bachelor of Science in Ministry Studies, graduating from Evangel College, Springfield, in May, 2015. In addition to his ministries Steve worked at several telemarketing jobs; most recently at Communication Solutions, LLC, in Springfield since 2014. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Earl & Velda Morrison, his maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by a sister, Shauna (Frank) Rooks, Pittsburg, Kansas, a niece, Emily Wachter, Pittsburg, Kansas, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Remembrance Service to celebrate Steve’s life, friendships, and ministries will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at Hope Church, 2121 South Blackman Road, Springfield, MO, from 12 Noon to 1 pm. His body has been taken by Simpson Funeral Home, Webb City, MO, for cremation and his cremains will be buried at a later time in the Carl Junction, MO, city cemetery at his parent’s grave.
