Doris Fowler Hale “Mammy”, 86, of Mayfield passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 in Nicholasville, KY.
Doris was a long time resident of Mayfield, KY. She and her late husband, Bill, enjoyed visiting area restaurants for meals and spending time with their grandchildren. Doris was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, crafting and scrapbooking. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Mayfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William C. Hale, Jr. “Bill”.
Survivors include: two sons, William C. Hale, III (Gloria), of Nicholasville, KY, Michael A. Hale (Karen) of Newark, DE; nine grandchildren, Andrew, Elizabeth, Laura, Katherine, Sarah, Jonathan, Matthew, Christina, Stephanie; and two great grandchildren, Hannah, Lucy.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY followed by a 1:00 p.m. graveside service at Highland Park Cemetery. Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Sr. will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent in memory of Doris Hale to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, KY 40504.
