Frank D. "Hank" Granieri, a retired maintenance worker and longtime resident of Niagara Towers, died Wednesday in Heritage Manor, where he had lived for the past five years. He was 83.
Born in Niagara Falls, he was a graduate of Trott Vocational School.
Mr. Granieri worked as a laborer for Scrufari Construction Co. for more than 20 years and retired in the late 1980s from Niagara University's maintenance department.
A sportsman, Mr. Granieri played softball on SKW Corp.'s championship team.
His wife of 45 years, Theresa Poletti Granieri, died in 1989.
He is survived by a stepdaughter, Angela Smith; a sister, Martha; and a brother, Raymond.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1413 Pine Ave.
