TSgt Zechariah Casagranda was born on Mar 5, 1981, in Graham, Texas, and passed away on January 24, 2016.

He served 18 years in the Air Force and, during that time, he served 2 tours in Afghanistan and 2 tours in Iraq.

He is survived by his wife of 7 years, a 13 year-old son, his mother, and stepfather.

This mission is a part of a joint effort of the Louisiana, East Texas, and North Texas Patriot Guard Riders. The North Texas portion of this joint effort will be to escort TSgt Casagrande to his final resting place in Lingleville, Texas. and stand a Flag Line at his Interment Ceremony.

TSgt Zechariah E. Casagranda was born in Lingleville, Texas on the 5th of March 1981. He attended Lingleville High School where he lettered in baseball and graduated as the valedictorian of the 1998 class. Committed to service, he bypassed two college scholarships and enlisted in the United States Air Force at the age of 17. His dedication to service and undeniable support to country fueled an illustrious seventeen year career providing him opportunities to spread the values of Integrity, Service, and Excellence.

Technical Sergeant Casagranda was stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana as part of the 2d Munitions Squadron. He was assigned as the Assistant Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge of Line Delivery. He directly supervised 23 Airmen in support of B-52 aircraft assigned to Barksdale Air Force Base. He guaranteed the delivery of conventional firepower to Combatant Commanders, anytime and anywhere.

Technical Sergeant Casagranda was a source of inspiration and strength to everyone who crossed his path. He was a leader, a husband, a brother, a friend, and a son. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and welding.

Technical Sergeant Zechariah Casagranda left this life on the 23rd of January 2016. He will be dearly missed by his wife Brandi, parents, son and friends. He was a great man and Airman with deep values and inner strength.
