He was born September 3, 1928 in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Paul Kovach and Elizabeth (Prokop) Kovach.
Pete was a 1946 graduate of Butler High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving with the 112th Infantry, 28th Division during the Korean War. He worked at Armco, Butler Works, retiring with nearly 40 years of service. He was a member of North Street Christian Church.
Mr. Kovach is survived by one son, Dennis L. Kovach of Butler, PA; one daughter, Lynne A. Kovach of Butler, PA; one sister, Ann McCaw of Butler, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis S. (Turner) Kovach, whom he married June 6, 1952, and who passed away December 24, 2007; three sisters, Margaret Carbone, Irene Biffiretti and Elizabeth Steen; and two brothers, Andrew Kovach and Paul Kovach, Jr.
Entombment in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
