Shirley B. (Whitehead) Moss, 90, wife of the late Andrew Moss, passed away on Friday, December 18 at Anna Jacques Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Montreal, Canada she was the daughter of the late Kenneth B. and Hilda (Cocks) Whitehead. She attended Montreal Public Schools and was a graduate of Montreal High School, Class of 1943. She continued her education at Miss Brown’s Business College. Primarily a homemaker she was married to the late Andrew Moss for 58 years upon his passing in 2006. Along with her husband, she traveled extensively all over the world. She was an avid golfer, with memberships to the Haverhill Country Club and the Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, FL. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Sherida Blair Daley and her husband George E. of Haverhill; Pamela B. Benson and her husband Lloyd of Salem, MA and Patricia B. DeSando and her husband Joseph of Newton, NH; six grandchildren, Kathryn Julien, Andrew Sieminski, Melissa Theriault, Sarah Phillips, Alicia Roeder and Dominic DeSando; five great grandchildren, Zachary Sieminski, Madeline Julien, Charlotte Julien, Adam Roeder and Logan Roeder. She was predeceased by her sister Patricia B. Masera, who passed away on December 18, 1998, 17 years to the day of Shirley’s passing.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Monday, December 21 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 22 at 11:00AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery.
