An Indianapolis native, he was a retired aircraft mechanic and worked at Capital City Airport. He served in the Indiana Air National Guard and was a private pilot. He was a member of the Gideons International for forty years where he held many positions in the Frankfort Camp as well as the State Cabinet. He was currently Treasurer of the Frankfort Camp. He was also the owner of Benson Creek Drilling Company. He was a member of North Benson Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, Sunday school teacher, and worked in the tutoring program. His greatest passions were serving the Lord, his family and friends, and farming.
Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Sue Bullock Snyder, Frankfort; two daughters, Rhodonna Redding (Joel), Frankfort, Laura Price (Scott), Simpsonville; a son, Charlie Snyder (Lauren), Mt. Sterling; a grandson, Caleb Redding (Kendyl), Lexington; granddaughters, Emily Redding, Hannah Price, Allison Price, Claire Price, Daphne Snyder, and Violet Snyder; a step grandson, Scottie Price (Lakin); a step granddaughter, Beth Price; and a step great-grandson, Austin Price.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Edythe Snyder of Plainfield, Indiana.
