Entered the service from Florida. Served in the 35th Fighter Bomb Squadron.

Son of John Rhodes & Louisa (DUNBAR) SLADE, who were married 24 FEB 1926 in Columbia County, Florida.

Evidently, the disposition of this serviceman’s remains is unknown. His name appears on two cenotaphs that memorialize missing personnel from the Korean Conflict, this one in Hawaii, and another in Dayton, Ohio, here . He also has his own memorial in the family lot at Linwood Cemetery in Columbus, Georgia, here , although he evidently is not actually interred there.
