Fred Mack Barnes, 82, of Houston, Texas, passed away January 26, 2016. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, prior to the service at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, January 30, 2016, in Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.

Fred was born in Allen, Texas, to the late Harry Austin and Nancy "Nannie" (Bull) Barnes. He married Barbara Taylor on June 6, 1953, in Melissa, Texas. Fred proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from the City of Dallas as an engineer.

He was preceded in death by his wife; and brother, Harry Barnes.

Survivors include his daughters, Mary Lawrence, of Houston, and Leslie Dulle and husband, Mark, of Cincinnati, Ohio; granddaughters: Katy Bauer, Mary Dulle, Madeline Dulle, Emily Lawrence, and Grace Dulle; sister, Mary Lu Welborn, of Austin; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
