Harvey Shepherd Bruce was born in 1845 to Jacob Bruce, and Mary Jane Crozier Bruce in Ross County, Ohio. They moved to Marion, Iowa before he was 5 years old. He was my great great grandfather!
His first wife was Berenis Burch. They had four children; Charles Bruce, Bertie Bruce, Elizabeth(Lizzie) Bruce, and Lewis Bruce.
Berenis passed away, and Harvey remarried Mary. They had three daughters together; Orpha Bruce, Myrtle Fay Bruce (my great grandmother), and Dollie Bruce.
Sometime after 1900 he moved his family to Hanford, California.
Preceded in death by his wives, Berenis and Mary E. He leaves six children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
