Ehrhardt - Mrs. Rachel Lou Gibson, 89, widow of Joe E. Gibson, died Friday.
Born in Bamberg County, she was the daughter of the late William and Mrs. Lula Carter George. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Maude Norton of Orlando, Fla.; a son, Joseph W. Gibson of Lexington; sister, Mrs. Ludie Strickland of Smoaks; brothers: Clarence George of Summerville, and Luther George of Charleston; grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Cooner Funeral Home of Bamberg, with burial in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
