Age 78, of Braidwood, IL, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Citadel Care Center in Kankakee, IL. Born December 24, 1937 to the late Bert and Elsie (nee Calhoun) Richmond. Ken was a shipping foreman at Celotex in Wilmington, IL until their time of closing. He later worked as assistant manager at Super Value in South Wilmington, IL. He attended Phelan Acres Bible Church in Wilmington.
Surviving are his wife, Lois (nee Sours), whom he married December 27, 1958 in Wilmington; two sons, Curtis (Carol) Richmond of Braidwood and Mark (Jennifer) Richmond of Diamond, IL; six grandchildren, Tim Richmond, Adam Richmond, Kristin Simpson, Andy Nelson, Kayla Richmond, and Brian Richmond; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Fred (Mary) Richmond of Florida and Glen Richmond of Wilmington; four sisters, Doris (Harvey) Stephens of Wilmington, Judy (Jess) Stephens of Greenup, IL, Pam Hysel of Braidwood, and Shirley (Darrell) Horath of Iola, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were two daughters, Vickie Richmond, in infancy and Connie Nelson (1989).
Funeral services will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Ltd. & Crematory, Braidwood Chapel, Monday, February 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
Rev. Rod Chappell will officiate.
Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Joliet, IL.
