Bill's mother, Katherine, was the daughter of James Mat "Jim" Johnson (1887-1957) and Annie Belle Ferrell (1924-1973). Both were born in Boyle Co., KY. Jim is buried in the Parksville Cemetery, Annie in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery, both located in Boyle County.
On Apr. 19, 1981 in Boyle County, Bill married Norma Ellen Herring ((1981-2016). He was 32, she 19. Norma was the daughter of Marvin Stanley Herring (1934-1994) and Atlanta Rose "Rosie" Herring Sinkhorn (1936- ).
Bill and Norma were married for 34 years and had five children. They are William Kevin Montgomery, Brian Clinton Montgomery, Renata Montgomery, Debbie Montgomery and Jerry Montgomery.
Employed in the construction business, Bill and his wife, Norma, were members of the Pleasant Run Baptist Church located in the Boyle County community of Forkland.
Bill died on Feb. 27, 2013 in Junction City, Boyle Co., KY at the age of 64. He was buried in the Wilson Fairview Cemetery located just outside Junction City in Boyle County.
His wife, Norma, died on Jan 23, 2016 in Danville, Boyle Co., KY at the age of 54. She too, was buried in the Wilson Cemetery, next to her husband, Bill.
