Services were held February 6, 1992 at Roeder Mortuary in Omaha for Ruth C. Brayton, 91 who died February 4, 1992. Rev. Nancy Brink of North Side Christian Church officiated. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Omaha.

Ruth C. Brayton was born to Willis and Lucy Brokaw Copp April 7, 1900 at Pilot Mound, Iowa. She married William Perry Brayton September 23, 1922. They lived on a farm north of Logan, Iowa until 1939. They then moved to Logan where she had her own restaurant for a while and then went to work for George Cassidy as a cook.

In 1951 they moved to Omaha. They both worked at Clarkson Hospital until retiring. After her husband died December 13, 1974 she moved to Florence Towers and lived there until 1989 when she moved to the Florence Care Center. She lived there until her death.

She was a member of North Side Christian Church in Omaha.

She is survived by her sons and their wives, Charles and Norma Hoyt Brayton Omaha, Donald and Bonnie Sears Brayton of Blair; a daughter and her husband, Edythe and Theron (Pete)Sears, Yuma, Arizona; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Pallbearers were her grandsons and grandson-in-law, Donald D. Brayton, Gary Brayton, Lyle Brayton, Jay Sears, Rons Sears and Steve Bennett.
