Dick Piner married Marie Turley in 1926.
The family moved to Idabel in 1948 where Dick owned and operated the sale barn and was later in the cattle and real estate business until his death in 1973.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 15, in Idabel for Dick Piner, longtime agricultural conservation and ???? leader. He died Thursday evening, Dec. 13, after he was pinned by two limbs of a fallen tree while ???ting firewood at his ranch ?? miles east and one mile ????? of Idabel.

Piner, who was on the board of directors of the Little River Soil and Water Conservation District, past president of the State ????dation and a member of ???00 board of directors, ????? first vice president of the Oklahoma Forestry ???ration, past director of the Chamber of Commerce ??? past president of the ???? Rotary Club.

He was a real estate ?????, a ranch owner and ????? in housing development.

He was active in his church, serving on the official ???? of the United Methodist Church of Idabel.

Mr Piner was born Aug. 25, 1904, in Sherman, Tex. He and his wife had lived in Idabel for 28 years.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Dick Piner Jr. of New Orleans, La.; a sister, Mrs. ???? Foshee of Sherman, Tex., and five grandchildren.

Rev. Steve Parker ???? ???? funeral services at ????? Saturday in the First United Methodist Church of Idabel.

Arrangements and burial in the West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, Tex., under the direction of Norwood-Welch Funeral Home.
