Our husband and daddy, W.D. Frisby, died on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 6:25 p.m. at UAMS in Little Rock. He had suffered an acute stroke on Christmas Day and never fully recovered. He died surrounded by a circle of love from those he cherished.

Earlier in the day at the hospital, we held his hands and were unable to hold back our tears. His breathing was ragged and labored for over two hours. But as we began to talk and laugh and as we relived precious memories and stories, he began to breathe more smoothly and he simply, quietly left this earth. We truly believe that when we were crying, he was upset at how this was hurting us, thus his ragged breathing. But when we began to laugh and talk and speak with such love of him, we think he knew we would be alright and he could leave knowing we were taken care of. That's how our husband and daddy was, always taking care of and protecting those he loved.

W.D. was born on July 20, 1936 to Raymond and Betty Frisby. Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother, Ray Frisby and one grandson, Dan Kennedy.

He leaves behind a host of family and friends including his wife, Sheri Swails Frisby, two daughters, Paula (Scotty) Kennedy and Sherri (Mike) McCann, two stepsons, Trey (Allyson) Smith and Dr. Justin Smith, one brother, Roy (Kathy) Frisby, five grandchildren, Heath Kennedy, April Kennedy, Chad (Chelsea) McCann, Kelsey McCann and Bret (Kate) McCann and two step grandchildren, Hayden and Jack Henry Smith.

Graveside services for family and friends will be held at Arlington Cemetery in El Dorado on Friday, January 29 at 2:00 p.m. under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.

The family will gather at the home of Dr. Justin Smith at 406 Lake Faircrest Dr., El Dorado, AR.

If desired, memorial gifts can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.

Psalms 17:15
"But because I have done what is right,
I will see you.
When I awake,
I will be fully satisfied,
For I will see you face to face."

In the blink of an eye, our husband and daddy left this earth. However, he awoke in Heaven...no sadness...fully satisfied for he was seeing Jesus face to face. Truly, we cannot ask for more than that!
